Hungry for God: Undeniable

“And whenever the unclean spirits saw Him, they fell down before Him and cried out, ‘You are the Son of God’”—Mark 3:11.

Satan can’t stand against a real work of God. In today’s passage, the demons of hell see Jesus and cry out, “You are the Son of God.” His presence and work are undeniable. Even the devil and his demons recognize who Jesus is and can’t stand against Him. And as we continually step out in faith, Satan will come against us, but he will not be able to thwart God’s purposes or stop His working in our life. As Martin Luther once said, “Even the devil is God’s devil.” The devil is limited and is destined to fail, or as Adrian Rogers once said, “He’s piloting a sinking ship.” He may be able to war against us, but he can’t stop a genuine work of God. If God is with us, what can stand against us? As Isaiah said,

“no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed,
 and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment.
 This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord 
and their vindication from Me, declares the Lord”—Isaiah 54:17.

If God is for us, then we can’t be stopped! Know that no matter what situation you are facing, no matter what obstacle Satan has thrown your way, if God is with you, then you can’t be stopped! Step forward in faith and do that which God desires and delights in you doing! Amen.
